Newark, NJ — [November 21, 2025] — One of the brightest young talents in global junior tennis, Indian-American Ronit Karki of East Brunswick, New Jersey, will take center stage at Prudential Center on Sunday, December 7, as “A Racquet at The Rock” kicks off with a special junior showcase match.
Karki, 17, has rapidly become one of the most accomplished junior players in the United States and a rising force on the world stage. A former USTA No. 1 in every age division and the 2025 Wimbledon Junior finalist, Karki has already competed in three Junior Grand Slams this year and continues to build momentum as he transitions to elite international competition. He is set to begin his collegiate career at Stanford University in Fall 2026, while also pursuing opportunities on the Pro Circuit.
“It feels incredible to compete at such a big venue in my home state,” said Karki. “Playing in front of the New Jersey and Indian-American community is something really special for me.”
Karki will face New York’s Jack Kennedy, another of the top junior players in the world and the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2026. Kennedy, currently ranked No. 8 in ITF Juniors, is the reigning US Open Junior Doubles Champion and a seven-time Junior Grand Slam singles competitor. He brings an impressive résumé of eight junior singles titles, four doubles titles, and leadership as captain of the 2024 U.S. Junior Davis Cup championship team. Kennedy will begin his collegiate career at the University of Virginia next fall.
“It’s a privilege to share this stage with my friend Ronit,” said Kennedy. “We’ve pushed each other for years, and to compete at an event like this is a real honor.”
The junior showcase featuring Karki vs. Kennedy will begin at 4:30 PM ET, when doors open at Prudential Center.
Following the junior match, fans will be treated to a star-heavy evening lineup including two blockbuster best-of-three singles matches:
- Amanda Anisimova vs. Jessica Pegula, a showdown of recent Grand Slam finalists
- Carlos Alcaraz vs. Frances Tiafoe, featuring the reigning US Open champion and World No. 1 facing a two-time US Open semifinalist
A special mixed doubles exhibition will also be part of the night’s program.
