Dhakshineswar Suresh Stuns Aidan Mayo in Winston-Salem Qualifying

India’s 6’5” Dhakshineswar Suresh pulled off a big upset in the ATP 250 Winston-Salem Open qualifying, defeating eighth seed Aidan Mayo of the USA 6-3, 6-4. The 25-year-old wildcard, ranked No. 663, fired eight aces on his way to the straight-sets win over the world No. 291.

Suresh now advances to the final round of qualifying, where he will face Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo, a former world No. 19 and current No. 103. The match will take place on Sunday, 17 August at 10.30PM IST.
