Gladbeck, 20 June – 2025: 16-year-old Indian tennis sensation Maaya Rajeshwaran has advanced to the final of the ITF J200 Gladbeck, delivering a dominant performance in the semifinals. Rajeshwaran, currently ranked Junior World No. 79 and WTA No. 646, swept past France’s Daphnee Mpetshi Perricard (JR #97, WTA #873) with an emphatic 6-2, 6-1 win.
Her opponent, Mpetshi Perricard—sister of ATP Top 40 player Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard—had earlier made headlines by winning a round in this year’s Roland-Garros women’s singles qualifying, defeating WTA #216 Gabriela Knutson.
Rajeshwaran will now face the winner of the semifinal clash between Switzerland’s Noelia Manta and USA’s Kori Montoya in tomorrow’s final.
Adding to her impressive run, Maaya has also reached the doubles final, teaming up with Australia’s Koharu Nishikawa. The duo will compete for the title later today.
