Indian-American duo Yuki Bhambri and Robert Galloway kicked off their 2025 Roland Garros campaign with a gripping first-round win over the powerful pair of Robin Haase and Hendrik Jebens. The Indo-American team prevailed 6-3, 6-7(8), 6-3 in a tightly contested three-setter.
Bhambri and Galloway displayed impressive grit, saving three set points in the second set tiebreaker, though they couldn’t convert their own match point in that set. Undeterred, they bounced back strongly in the decider to seal the match.
Next up, the duo faces a tough challenge against the 7th seeds, Croatia’s Nikola Mektić and New Zealand’s Michael Venus. The matchup brings an interesting twist as Bhambri and Venus share a close friendship and history, having made their Grand Slam and Masters 1000 debuts together.
With confidence and chemistry on their side, Bhambri and Galloway will look to keep their momentum going in Paris.
