23 year old Rithvik Bollipalli has confirmed his place in the 2025 Australian Open main draw, marking his Grand Slam debut. Currently ranked World No. 72 in doubles, Rithvik will partner with Ryan Seggerman.
Rithvik had an outstanding season in 2024, breaking into the Top 100 for the first time and achieving a career-high ranking of No. 72. His achievements include winning his maiden ATP Tour title in Almaty in October with Arjun Kadhe, as well as securing three Challenger titles—two with Niki Poonacha in Acapulco and San Luis Potosí, and one with Sriram Balaji in Rovereto.
Rithvik will join three other Indian players in Melbourne: Rohan Bopanna, Yuki Bhambri, and Sriram Balaji. Meanwhile, Anirudh Chandrasekar is fourth on the alternates list, and the duo of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth is fifth.
Indian tennis fans are thrilled by this news and eagerly anticipates the young player’s performance on the big stage.
