2024 U.S. Open to have Record-Breaking $75 Million Prize Pool

The USTA announced that the 2024 U.S. Open will feature the largest prize pool in tennis history, with $75 million in total player compensation, up from $65 million in 2023, marking a 15 percent increase. The men’s and women’s singles champions will each earn $3.6 million, a 20 percent increase from the previous year.

All tournament rounds will see higher payouts compared to 2023, with a particular focus on early-round increases. Notably, the prize for reaching the first round of the Main Draw Singles has risen by 72 percent over the last five years, reaching $100,000 in 2024, up 23 percent from the previous year. Similarly, the final round of Qualifying now offers $52,000, a 63 percent increase from 2019 and up 16 percent from 2023.

Prize money for Men’s and Women’s Doubles has increased by 9 percent from 2023, while Mixed Doubles has seen an 18 percent increase. In addition to prize money, all players will receive $1,000 travel vouchers, two hotel rooms (or $600 per day if choosing different accommodations), an increased meal allowance, and free racquet stringing for up to five racquets per round.

The 2024 U.S. Open will run from August 26 to September 8.
