India’s doubles duo of Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji have been handed a challenging draw as they face the home favorites, Fabien Reboul and Édouard Roger-Vasselin, in the first round of the Men’s Doubles at the Paris Olympics.
The Indian pair will have their work cut out against the experienced French duo, with Reboul ranked 34th and Roger-Vasselin ranked 11th in the world doubles rankings.
Playing against the French team on their home turf is expected to be a daunting task, with the crowd likely to be firmly behind the home favorites. However, Bopanna and Balaji will be looking to draw on their experience and teamwork to cause an upset and progress to the next round.
