At the age of 44 years and 4 months, Rohan Bopanna is set to become the oldest member of India’s touring party for the Paris Olympics. The veteran tennis player, who’s the oldest to become World No.1 and win a Men’s Doubles Grand Slam.
Bopanna is set compete with debutant Sriram Balaji in the Men’s Doubles category. This will be Bopanna’s 3rd Olympics appearance. His experience and leadership are expected to be invaluable to the Indian team as they compete on the world stage in Paris.
On the other hand, the youngest Indian in Paris will be 14 year old swimmer Dhinidhi Desinghu, who also happens to come from Karnataka.
