Indian No.1 and 95th ranked Sumit Nagal, who got a late entry into the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters Qualifying Draw yesterday, will take on 63rd ranked Italian Flavio Cobolli in the first round on Saturday.
Nagal and Cobolli have played against each other once before, at the ATP 100 Tulln Challenger in Austria on clay in 2023, with Nagal winning 6-3 6-4. However, Cobolli has risen swiftly up the ranks ever since. It will be an interesting challenge for Nagal, as he looks to move further up in the ATP Rankings.
