World No. 97 Sumit Nagal and 8th seeded Sumit Nagal will start against 581st ranked American wildcard Stefan Dostanic. Despite playing only ten events in the past year, he has notched wins against players ranked significantly higher, including Zachary Svajda (149th) and Alexander Ritschard (192nd).

22 year old Dostanic earned his wildcard by winning the “Race To Indian Wells” tournament in August last year as part of the USTA #SoCalProSeries. This followed a strong senior season at the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned the Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year award in 2022. A native of Irvine, California, Dostanic has been a standout player for USC throughout his college career.

The match will take place in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from 11.30 PM IST on Monday, 4th March.
