Yuki Bhambri’s Dubai Run Ends in Semis

Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri’s impressive run at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships came to an end on Friday, February 29th, 2024, as he and his doubles partner Robin Hasse fell short in the semifinals.

Bhambri and Hasse, who entered the tournament through the qualifying rounds, had surprised many with their strong performances. They upset the third seeds, Jamie Murray and Michael Venus, in the quarterfinals in a close match.

However, the second-seeded pairing of Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek proved too strong in the semifinals. The match lasted just over an hour and a half, with Dodig and Krajicek winning in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(2).

Despite the loss, Bhambri’s performance in Dubai represents a positive step forward. Reaching his first ATP 500 doubles semifinal is a significant achievement, showcasing his skills and potential in doubles play. Bhambri will undoubtedly look to build on this momentum in future tournaments.
