16 year old Arnav Paparkar, who’s ranked 479 in ITF Juniors, put up a spirited performance against ATP 344 Felix Gill, losing 3-6 4-6 during the ATP Pune Challenger Qualifying Round 1. Paparkar was handed a wildcard to compete in the tournament.

Incidentally, it was Paparkar’s 16th birthday today. He shared his thoughts after the match –

It was a great experience. I was playing ITF Juniors just 3 weeks ago. I was able to see big difference the Juniors and Pro Tennis. I know exactly what to improve now. I am thankful for the experience

Nothing specific to be honest. I just changed my mindset to be aggressive. I put in more work on my serves and my forehands
