World Tennis names Men’s 30+ Masters Team Cup as Leander Paes Cup

World Tennis has named its Men’s 30+ Masters Team Cup the Leander Paes Cup. The governing body said the name recognizes Paes’ team participation and his commitment to team competitions over the years, especially the Davis Cup.

World Tennis is the new name of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), which rebranded earlier this year.

Leander Paes Cup 2026 in Tokyo

The Leander Paes Cup is a world team competition for men aged 30 and above. This year’s edition will be played in Tokyo, Japan from 15-20 November on outdoor hard courts. It is listed as a Grade C1 event.

Leander Paes’ Davis Cup record

Paes made his Davis Cup debut for India in 1990 and represented the country in the competition across three decades. He holds the record for the most doubles wins in Davis Cup history.

Away from team events, Paes won 18 Grand Slam titles across men’s doubles and mixed doubles, and a bronze medal in men’s singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2024.
