India’s campaign in the men’s doubles came to an end in the quarterfinals, with both pairs suffering defeats in closely contested matches.
Anirudh Chandrasekar and Sriram Balaji pushed China’s Jiang Min and Zhang Tianhui to a deciding match tie-break after taking the opening set 7–6(8). The Chinese pair fought back to win the second set 7–6(7) before clinching the match tie-break 10–8.
Meanwhile, Yuki Bhambri and Dhakshineswar Suresh went down to Chinese Taipei’s Ho Chen-yui and Hsu Yu-hsiou, losing 6–7(5), 3–6.
