Srishti Kiran Storms Into ITF J100 Guatemala Final

Indian youngster Srishti Kiran has continued her impressive run at the ITF J100 Guatemala, securing a place in the singles final with a series of outstanding victories over higher-ranked opponents.

The breakthrough week began with a straight-sets win over seventh seed Sarah Stoyanov of the United States in the second round. Srishti then followed it up by defeating fourth seed Hanne Cortes of Mexico in a three-set quarterfinal battle.

Her biggest victory of the tournament came in the semifinals, where she overcame second seed Filipa Delgado of the United States, ranked Junior World No. 223, to book her place in the championship match.

The Indian has now defeated the seventh, fourth and second seeds during her remarkable run and will face top seed Ellery Mendell (Junior World No. 198) of the United States in the final.

Competing in one of the highest-level events on the ITF Junior Circuit this week, Srishti has showcased her ability to compete with some of the world’s leading junior players and now stands one win away from the biggest title of her young career.
