They say consistency is what transforms average into excellence, isn’t it? Well, to move up the ladder, the Indian duo of Adil Kalyanpur and Parikshit Somani have continued where they left off.
If their Round 1 match was sort of a comeback story, the quarterfinals match ended in a commanding win over the Spanish duo of Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo and Max Alcala Gurri. Hitting 3 aces, a good winning percentage in the both the first and second serves, and some powerful forehands in display, ensured a win in straight sets for both Adil and Parikshit. The final score was 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).
They have successfully marched into the Semi-finals of the on-going ATP 50 Royan Altantique Challenger event, currently happening in France.
Their upcoming semi-final match is against the Russian duo of Maxim Zhukov and Egor Agafonov. It is scheduled to start at 4.40 pm IST* (1.10 pm CST*) on the 20th of June 2025.
Trivia – The ATP 50 Royan Atlantique Challenger Open event was previously held in 1981 and 44 years later, it has returned to the tennis schedule in 2025 making it a memorable one for the players to compete for the title.
