PARIS, France – May 31, 2025 – The unseeded duo of Sriram Balaji of India and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela of Mexico concluded their Roland Garros men’s doubles campaign today, falling to the 4th seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori of Italy in the second round. The final score was 3-6, 4-6.
The match, played under the Parisian sun, saw Bolelli and Vavassori capitalize on crucial service breaks. Reyes-Varela’s serve was broken once in each set, ultimately proving to be the decisive factor in the contest. Despite a valiant effort from Balaji and Reyes-Varela, they were unable to recover from the deficits.
This second-round exit followed a commanding performance in their opening match. Balaji and Reyes-Varela advanced to the second round after a straightforward 6-2, 6-1 victory over the pairing of Camilo Ugo Carabelli of Argentina and Yunchaokete Bu of China. That first-round win highlighted the Indo-Mexican pair’s strong start to the tournament.
