New Delhi, 16th Dec 2023 – The All India Tennis Association (AITA) held a virtual meeting of the
Professional Selection Committee on Saturday, the 16th of December 2023, to finalise the team for the
upcoming Davis Cup Tie against Pakistan on the 3rd and 4th Feb 2024 in Pakistan.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Nandan Bal, and prominent members of the committee, including Shri
Balram Singh, Shri Mustafa Ghouse, Ms Sai Jayalakshmy, Shri Rohit Rajpal (Captain, Indian Davis Cup Team), Shri Zeeshan Ali (Coach, Indian Davis Cup Team), and Shri Anil Dhupar (Hon. Secretary General,AITA) were present. Hon. Secretary General, Shri Anil Dhupar, extended a warm welcome to all the members and conveyed the objective of selecting a strong 6-member team for the crucial Davis Cup Tie against Pakistan.
After careful consideration of various factors, including players’ rankings, availability, performance, and
current form, the committee announced the following players to represent India:
- Ramkumar Ramanathan
- N. Sriram Balaji
- Yuki Bhambri
- Saketh Myneni
- Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha
- Digvijay Pratap Singh (Reserve)
