Bhosale in last four , Vaidehi upsets Pranjala at Jamshri Solapur Open

Solapur, December 10: Top seeded Rutuja Bhosale , second seeded Zeel Desai , third seeded Soujanya Bavisetti and sixth seeded Vaidehi Chaudari stormed into the ladies singles semifinal of the Jamshri Solapur Open being played at the MSLTA Solapur District Complex
In singles quarterfinals top seeded Rutuja Bhosale blanked our Denmark’s eighth seeded Elena Jamshidi 6-2 6-0

Second seeded Zeel Desai was troubled by Wildcard entrant Akanksha Nitture before winning 7-5 6-4 while third seeded Sowjanya Bavisetti stopped the winning run of seventh Seeded Sathwika Sama 6-4 6-1

Sixth seeded Vaidehi Chaudhari created the biggest upset of the day knocking out winner of the Bengaluru leg and fourth seeded Pranjala Yadlapalli 6-4, 6-4 to make the last four

In doubles semifinal top seeded pair of Sharmada Balu and /Sowjanya Bavisetti battled past young pair of Vaidehi Chaudhari and Mihika Yadav (Ind) 7-6(4) 7-5.
The top seeded pair will take on unseeded pair of Ramya Natarajan (Ind) /Sathwika Sama (Ind) who scraped past Sai Samhitha Chamarthi and /Soha Sadiq 2-6 6-0 [13-11] in a thrilling match
