Niki Poonacha lifts title at ITF M15 New Delhi Futures : Week of 29th Mar – Indian Tennis Roundup

Our Top 3 players on the men’s side were out of action this week

Our Men’s Futures Circuit continued in New Delhi this week and Niki Poonacha won the singles title beating 3 higher ranked foreign players in the process. Arjun Kadhe won her second consecutive doubles title this time along with Saketh Myneni.

Our women #1 was Ankita Raina played in Dubai but had to withdraw in first round due to minor injury but Riya Bhatia qualified for the main draw and also had her career best win in first round of main draw. Also, 19 year old Humera Baharmus had a very good upset win in first qualifying round against 2019 US open junior singles semi finalist and doubles winner.

Karman Kaur Thandi made her second consecutive semi finals in Tunisia. She is making good progress after her comeback and will next join our team for Billie Jean King Cup against Latvia.
