Disappointment in French Open qualies

It was somewhat disappointing French open qualifying for our players this week. Prajnesh on mens side and Ankita on womens side won a round each but fell in the next round. Ramkumar lost easily which was somewhat expected as he was playing his first competitive match in a while but most disappointing was our #1 and our best on clay court by far, Sumit Nagal losing out in straight sets to former top 100 player Dustin Brown.

These are results for our players –

[Q1] (16) Sumit Nagal (IND,127) l. Dustin Brown (GER,244) 67(4) 57
[Q1] (29) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,141) d. Cem Ilkel (TUR,206) 63 61

[Q1] Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND, 197) l. W-Tristan Lamasine (FRA, 268) 57 26

[Q2] (29) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,141) l. Aleksandar Vukic (AUS,190) 46 67(4)
